I’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn in the past and always considered it a budget hotel chain. Recently when I was planning a trip to Singapore, I couldn’t find a room at my usual hotel, so I gave took another look at the Intercontinental Hotels Group. They’re no longer just Holiday Inn. Today they are comprised of Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, Hualuxe Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Even Hotels, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn Club Vacations, Staybridge Suites, and Candlewood Suites. There are many choices for the discernible traveler.

In Singapore, I chose the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard Road. I was surprised to find that it was right next door to the hotel I stayed at the last several times I visited. Conveniently located just off Orchard Road, it’s within walking distance to all the great malls, restaurants, and attractions of this famous shopping area. In fact, I’m going back there in a few days and will book the same hotel.
